Organizing biennial Congresses of Soil Science is a major activity of the Soil Science Society of Pakistan. Soil scientists, agronomists and scientists from allied disciplines from national and international organizations gather at this occasion and share their experimental results and research experiences with each other for the benefit of agriculture in general and of Soil Science in particular. So far, the Society has successfully organized 16 Congresses, since 1985 at various places, including Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Tandojam. The Congresses prove to be a good blend of scientific and social get-togethers.

Executive Council of the Society has decided to hold the 17th International Congress of Soil Science, March 13-15, 2018, at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad. Theme of the Congress is “Soil: Ultimate Solution to Food Security and Climate Change”.

The Executive Council feels immense pleasure for inviting you to attend this important scientific and social event held in Faisalabad. We are also looking forward for your active cooperation, support and participation to making this processional event of national significance a success.
